We move today to the time when we begin our celebrations of God in the Flesh, Emmanuel - we do so with the Nativity story at 4pm which includes singing our favourite carols, hearing the story in Scripture, and having the thoughts of a grumpy innkeeper.
Our big community celebration is the First Communion of Christmas, also called Midnight Mass, at 10pm (finishing by Midnight!) - a full choir, string ensemble, organ, sermon by John Thatamanil, and the opportunity for all to share in the singing of favourite carols, hearing again the story of Incarnation, and Holy Communion.
On Christmas Day we observe the feast with a simple Parish Eucharist at 10am, again with Carols and a short reflection for the day, and the gift of sharing bread and wine at Communion.
All are welcome to our celebrations this Christmas-tide.
