Today's Daily Prayer Online will be live on our Facebook Page at noon. The recording will be posted later here.
May 5th is the Memorial of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) , we will remember the Indigenous peoples of Canada in our prayers and pray for the healing of the wounds these losses have created.
Our order of service, downloadable below, is taken from 'A Disciple's Prayer Book' which is a Prayer book of the Anglican Council of Indigenous People of the Anglican Church of Canada. It is a simple service, with space for prayer and reflection alongside the liturgy itself. The reading for today, upon which we will reflect, is Luke 3.1-14 which can be found here.
There are three questions we are encouraged to reflect on with the reading for today, and there will be space to do so in the service, they are:
1. What word(s), idea(s), or sentence(s) stand out for you in the Gospel of the Day?
2. What is Jesus (the Gospel) saying to you?
3. What is Jesus (the Gospel) calling you to do?
Please join us in these prayers and reflections
