A submission today from Parishioner and Artist Sara Chu
" About twenty years ago, Tim and I took a minibus trip through the Australian desert. At night we slept out under the stars because it was warm . Because the ground was so flat for miles around and there was no ambient light, the sky was very very dark and very very big. We could see a gazillion stars. I had no idea there were so many. It was so beautiful and so immense. Such depth. I think that anyone looking at this vastness and beauty would have to have a sense of God, the mystery that is in reality. It would be impossible not to feel wonder. And we are always floating in that glory even though we usually can’t see it."
When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars that you have established;
what are human beings that you are mindful of them,
mortals that you care for them?
