This is the Sunday known as "Good Shepherd Sunday": the Gospel (John 10: 1-10) has Jesus of Nazareth reffering to himself as the "gate for the sheep", and the Psalm (23) is well-known "The Lord is my Shepherd".
Eastertide, for a liturgical musician, is often about the hymns of triumph and the grand, exciting voluntaries; this year feels more than a little different. I offer to you, here, two rather introspective settings of Psalm 23, both used in this morning's "Zoom Service".
