Daily Prayers for Monday, August 10, 2020

Our Daily Prayer today, led by Alastair, will be live at noon on our St John the Divine Facebook Page. It is taken from the late Jim Cotter's Prayer in the Day so there is no downloadable order as the book is still in copyright. It's a simple reflective service, and part of it reflects on verses from Psalm 119 in Jim's own translation, which is read, and part of it on a short portion of the sermon on the mount, taken from Matthew Chapter Six, which can be found by clicking here.

Jim was an Anglican Priest and wordsmith (the words carved on his headstone) who challenged the Church to be truly inclusive and affirming of all people, especially those of the LGBTQ+ community. His work and words still resonate today.
