As is the custom in the Anglican Church, St John's will be marking the Feast of All Souls with a special service of commemoration on Sunday 3rd November at 7.30pm
This service will be based on the Ancient Service of Evening Prayer from the Book of Common Prayer (which was originally written in 1549) - the beautiful Elizabethan Language will combine with traditional Choral Music, and with a contemporary setting of Kontakion (the funeral prayer) as well as an opportunity to light candles and spend time reflecting and remembering.
For those who have people they would like remembered by name in the service, please inform the office admin@stjohnthedivine.bc.ca - otherwise please come and offer your prayers in the silence and the music of this special service. There will also be an opportunity to light candles in memory of those we love but see no longer
Music will be led by the choristers of St John the Divine, and our Music Director David Stratkauskas
Service leaders will be the Venerable Alastair McCollum and Rev'd Patrick Sibley
