Ash Wednesday is one of the Holiest times of the Christian Year, and we mark it with special services of the Eucharist (Holy Communion) at which we will listen to readings from the Bible, have a sermon or reflection to start the season, and (at our Evening service) join together in special hymns for the day and with the choir leading our worship.
Both Services take place in the Church of St John with the morning a simple Said Eucharist at 10am and the evening a Sung Eucharist at 7pm.
