This morning, the prophet Amos delivers a provocative message to his hearers. He warns of a coming famine -- a "famine of hearing the words of God" (Amos 8:11-12). Whether God ceases to speak, or we cease to listen, such a famine surely leaves us in a time of holy silence. Join us as we consider our encounters with silence in our lives, and whether there are times when silence might be a greater gift from God than words.
