Outside the Fold

In John’s Gospel we have the statement ‘I am the Good Shepherd’ – either a statement Jesus made or, more likely, something the early followers of Christ wanted to say about their Lord.  Today’s thought is a consideration of the implications of Jesus talk about being inside and outside of the fold – and the suprising revelations that come when we take his words seriously about where the voice of Christ might be heard.
