The Rector prefers the rainbow as a symbol of gay pride to its place as a symbol of genocide. And this thought, on reading today's passage from book of Genesis, inspires some thinking on the stories we choose to tell and the way we hear and use stories from the Bible, including a brief foray into the Temptation story in today's Gospel reading.
