Maundy Thursday is one of the holiest days of the Christian year. It commemorates Jesus' last supper with his disciples - at which he washed the feet of his friends as an example of serving one another, he instituted the Holy Communion, and he was prepared to be betrayed and led to death.
We commemorate this with the symbolic washing of feet of those who volunteer, sharing in Communion together, and the stripping of the Altars in preparation for Good Friday, the day when Jesus died. All our welcome to this special observance.
